Party on....

The big holiday party was tonight and I don't know what happened!!! Swear!
Hee hee. I had 3 glasses of wine, ate dinner and 1 rum and coke. Next thing, we are in a bar I am holding these ridiculous heels and sitting barefoot on a stool. Hmmm....the night was a lot of fun and I am glad I went. Here are some pics I have of the night. Moving this weekend, ugh!!!

Chances are....

Saw LM in Riverhead today at a store. Saw JL in Target also. Weird...I never run into them or see them elsewhere for that matter.

So we're stuck in NY for the end of 2005 and for the beginning of 2006 but I am thinking of going to see some live music in Cali in a couple of weeks. Just checked air $99 ea way!! Hotel $61/nt!!! Looked on the map and my cousin, his girl and their soon to be born child live right nearby!!! What are the chances??? Although, I don't think I'll be sunning my buns cus looks like the weather is only 60's. Shucks. My first solo trip!!! Might as well try it, I'll be in my thirties ugh. I hope Moose will be ok. She was coughing today and it was a weird sound. The trip is in 2 weeks so we'll see. I only have to book 7 days in advance which is good for a last minute freak like me.

Hanukkah Food for the Foodies

Since this info has been requested by some of you who missed out on the fest...This was the spread at our 3rd Annual Hanukkah Hullabaloo. Mickey helped out with the meat log. Baked Brie (that was a 2lb wheel of brie in puff pastry, mmmmm hot cheese :)

Spinach dip with veggies (ho hum)

Cheese & crackers (ahhh more cheese....sharp cheddar and Monterey jack, pedestrian but tasty)

Glazed salami with mustard (yes sounds nasty but was requested and gone in minutes and that was 3lbs of kosher beef there!)

Potato Latkes with cinnamon applesauce (yepper i made em both!)

Olives stuffed with blue cheese (bought em)
Various nuts (hee hee)

Choc covered oreos (thanks TD!!! they are awesome!!!)

Oh and a huge tray of pasta rustica that I made to keep everyone from getting too sauced (MV said I must be italian cus she liked it, except she called the sauce "gravy", hmpf. not familiar with that. guess im no italian)

You'll all have to make it next year!!!

Terry Reid

The first show I decide to go to by myself winds up a bust!
Took me only 40 min to get to the bridge but 40 min later, I still wasn't at the bridge entrance so I called and realized I would miss the show so I turned around and went back to old school times. I really wish those F-ing transit union people would not have striked. They made me miss Terry Reid and I REALLY wanted to see him. F-ers!!!!!

Two too too many cookies

My tum tum hurts from all the junk we ate today. Watched Forest Gump yesterday, didn't remember that it was actually a love story. It was sad. Found some more lumps on Moose. It made me more sad. I woke up today with massive puffy eyelids.

I have to start packing, I really dislike packing...although I tend to travel lighter each time. I still have to do my taxes for the past two years! Refund tho!!! Then planning on using those new found funds to go to Belize, yah!

Song today, didn't have one earlier but just came on through my itunes library and I paused and I really listened to the words and it gave me the chills. I don't know why. Maybe it's the mood. Where are you going - Dave Matthews Band.

What is going on in the universe? This week has been chock full of coincidence....the other day while working, I was driving down a street and saw DD's dog loose in the street so I had to call her and ask what to do with the dog. I haven't spoken to her in months and we work in the same place, hmmm. Then, we were driving to an appt and I look at the next car on the highway and it's a guy I work with, weird. THEN, after work I stopped into Target and as I pulled into a spot I noticed the car behind me pulled in just two spots away, it was TT and Melody. WEIRD!!! That was all in one day. Then some more stuff happened to other people when I was with them. It just keeps happening all week, hmmm....

Pulled an all-nighter the other night and finished my final exam and term paper, ugh. Got so hungry in the middle of the night that I had to make food and all I could come up with was rice and broccoli with salad dressing and cheese, yes, it was completely gross. Then I remembered I had pizza in the freezer, damn! I made up for it tonight and made cinnamon applesauce from scratch and it came out F-ing delicious.

Tonight Mickey hoisted herself into the tub and she got an awesome lather with anti-dandruff shampoo, she smells mint! But she's a bit pissed because we haven't had turkey bacon in over a week, sorry moose, but do you know any other dog that has their own bed, bedroom and bathroom??? Only the best for my babe.

The night sky has been so beautiful the past couple of nights, I wish it weren't so freaking cold though. It's an amazing deep midnight blue, barely black at all. The stars just pop out at you when you stare up. I remember trying to describe the color when wanted my hair like that years ago.

Since Terry Reid is my new musical obsession, I just checked him out on the web and coincidence couldn't have been better. He usually plays on mondays in L.A. but will be at BB Kings in NYC on Dec. 22!!!!!! Of course, I have to work til 9pm but I am leaving early for this. Can't wait!!! Ever since first heard him, was hoping to catch him live sometime. Mint!

A day at the zoo

Today was full of wild animal adventures!

Looked out the window of our office and there was a parade of wild turkeys going by, these are the biggest freaking turkeys I have ever seen.

Later on in the evening, made a 'visit', saw the beer on the table and knew the woman was hiding from me, so as her bf was lying to me one of their freaking birds attacked me!!! Seriously, the thing flew into my hair twice before I told the guy I was going to pepper spray it if he didn't put it away, then it flew at me again and dug its claws into the back of my neck biting my ear!!!! Then I finally told him to get the 'fucking bird off of me' and I went into their bedroom and demanded the woman get out of the closet. Now that was funny but I was not happy especially when after she came out, her cat started rubbing itself up against my leg. oh did i forget to mention her parrot that was chewing on a baseball cap on the kitchen table?

I thought that was enough animal exposure for the day but alas, I live a Seinfeld-esque life so...an hour or so later, I went to make another 'visit' and as I closed (and locked) the car door, I heard running behind me. I turn around to see not one, not two but three deer in the street about 10 feet from me. They are really big up close! WTF are they doing in the middle of the street? I froze and slowly unlocked the door and waited in the car to see if they would walk away but they didn't until I started the car. I was so freaking scared, I had to laugh though, it was too funny. Oh best part....the street was called Deer Meadow Run. Fuck me!
