Gimme my Taste of Dallas

After the two steppin last night, Huggies and I were a bit worn out so we took in a hearty breakfast at Cafe Brazil
and it was damn tasty. We drove around town a bit and also visited the Dallas Farmers Market which had an amazing array of produce, the smell was fruity and yummy.
Finally we hit the Taste of Dallas and I was well, let down. I did get some shrimp ceviche for free though which was spiceeeeee and it was SO fuggin hot out ugh

but we still trooped all the way uptown and rode a trolley and did all the touristy things to do in Dallas which amounted to about three hours of sightseeing hmpf! After the downtown area, we drove around a bit then headed to the pool at our hotel which had a lovely view of an interstate heh heh. Seriously though, the hotel was really nice for so cheap. I had wanted to stay around but Huggies wanted authentic BBQ so we followed the guidebook and some texan advice and headed back to Ft. Worth and hit up Angelo's which was another surreal experience for us New Yorkers. I for one have never eaten in a place like this where the food was served like this

but Huggies said it was the best pork she'd ever eaten. I even tried a bit but had a hard time getting it down. I just can't do the swine thing, sorry folks. My chicken was ok but this whole white bread thing with bbq, I don't get it. We hit some bars in the nice part of town including 8.0 but Huggies felt the draw of the Stockyards and we didn't feel we had gotten the full cowboy experience aside from Billy Bob's so we returned and the mayhem continued. There were lots of "stranglers" present (how did he get into those jeans???)
and we met a nice cowboy who tried very hard to show us his hot tub back at the ranch. This blonde young "lady"

even said she would hang out with us "yankee bitches" and yes that's a quote. I was more interested in what was going on in her ex-bf's pants there! Those are some big socks you got there cowboy! Another night of staying in town until closing time which is an early 2am and we headed back content with our fill of country. I even got to ride in the saddle, well kind of at least:

and meet another real cowboy

and in case your dirty mind is wandering, no we didn't go back to the ranch and see what a texan hot tub looks like!
